Junaid Vohra, founder of Leather for Kids, inspiring the next generation to craft, play, and discover leather’s role in our planet’s wellbeing.

Described by AIFD as a sustainability-driven entrepreneur, and featured in ILM’s podcast “Making Leather Great Again,” on World Leather Day 2023.

A 4th generation leather tradesman turned concept thinker, sustainability-driven educator, and advocate for environmental and social change — on a mission to create 100k Little Leather Artisans through interactive STEAM workshops in schools and self-help thematic DIY kits.

His unique approach to leather waste management has transformed one of nature’s finest materials into a playful and educational experience for children.

Junaid's initiative, Leather for Kids, helps children develop an appreciation for the material and its origins while fostering creativity and eco-awareness.

More than just an educator, The Leather Dude is a sustainability-driven entrepreneur making a positive impact on both the environment and society through his narrative of making leather a playful material.

Junaid has worked as a consultant for Pakistan Tanners Association SZ (Environmental Society) to UNIDO – GEF funded Pakistan's first ever sustainability report on Leather, “Korangi Leather Area Project 160069” in 2023 and has been commissioned as Official Leather Supplier to The President of Pakistan in 2024 in collaboration with Zahra Ebraheem and Architect Naheed Mashooqullah. The Leather Dude has been invited as an official delegate to Lineapelle Fair by UNIC Italia in February 2025 for his works in kids education in leather. He has advised TDAP for sustainability-themed TEXPO 2023 and is pushing government stakeholders to embrace “Leather Diplomacy” across all diplomatic channels.
